Availability and purchase
Sentry Desk for Mac is publicly available through Apple's App Store. Apple manages purchase, subscription, installation, update, and cancellation workflows.
Local device communication and information
Sentry Desk communicates directly with authorized DoorBird and Axis devices configured by the user. Device credentials, SIP secrets, configuration, recordings, snapshots, incidents, operator audit information, and diagnostics remain on the user's Mac and are not automatically uploaded to WCS.
Device credentials and SIP secrets are stored using macOS Keychain. Recordings and snapshots are written only to folders selected by the user through macOS file controls.
Apple subscriptions and entitlement information
Apple App Store and StoreKit services handle subscriptions and payment. Sentry Desk receives entitlement information needed to determine whether subscription features are available and stores limited verified entitlement state locally on the Mac.
WCS may receive financial and transaction reports from Apple for accounting, customer support, fraud prevention, and subscription administration. WCS does not receive the user's complete payment-card number from Apple.
Support reports
A support report is sent to WCS only when the user deliberately chooses to share it. Users should review the report before sending it and remove information they do not want to disclose.
Support reports may contain app version, macOS version, configuration summaries, recent status information, and redacted diagnostics needed to investigate the reported issue. They are used only for support, reliability, security, and product improvement.
Advertising, analytics, and sale of data
Sentry Desk for macOS does not include advertising, behavioral tracking, or WCS analytics. WCS does not sell Sentry Desk app data.
Security
Sentry Desk uses macOS App Sandbox, Keychain storage, security-scoped file access, and redacted diagnostics to limit access to local information. Users remain responsible for protecting their Mac, selected storage folders, device credentials, network access, and operator accounts.
No software or security control can guarantee complete security. Use Sentry Desk only with devices, networks, and facilities you own, administer, or are expressly authorized to operate.
Retention and deletion
Users control locally stored Sentry Desk configuration, recordings, snapshots, incidents, audit records, entitlement state, and diagnostics through the app, macOS, and the folders they select. Deleting local information does not remove copies that were exported, backed up, or retained elsewhere.
Users must follow their organization's legal, contractual, evidentiary, privacy, and records-retention obligations before deleting recordings, incidents, audit information, or other operational records.
Apple subscription records and financial reports are retained by Apple and WCS as needed for subscription administration, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. Removing the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions are managed through the user's Apple account.
Children
Sentry Desk is a professional security and facility-operations tool and is not directed to children under 13. WCS does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
