Software use and safety notice.

West Coast Security software is built for qualified professionals working with proper customer or system-owner authorization.

Products covered

This notice applies to Velocity Tools, SNIB Scout for Windows, SNIB Scout for Android, Sentry Desk, Room Sentry, Proxmark Card Lab, and WCS Video Evidence Processor.

These applications are independently developed West Coast Security products. Third-party names identify compatible systems or supported workflows and do not imply manufacturer endorsement of the WCS software.

Authorized professional use

Use WCS software only on systems, devices, credentials, media, or networks that you own, administer, or are expressly authorized to support. Users are responsible for customer approval, applicable laws and policies, appropriate backups, and verification before production changes.

WCS software must not be used to access unauthorized systems, bypass security controls, duplicate credentials without permission, intercept systems without authorization, or interfere with devices, networks, or evidence.

Application-specific safeguards

  • Velocity Tools: Verify backups, SQL targets, permissions, source and destination identity, and rollback readiness before migration or database maintenance.
  • SNIB Scout: Confirm site authorization, network access, board identity, addressing, and production impact before applying changes to SNIB2 or SNIB3 boards.
  • Sentry Desk: Follow applicable privacy, recording, workplace, school, residential, access-control, and announcement policies when monitoring video, handling calls, releasing doors, or operating speakers.
  • Room Sentry: Use monitoring and recording only where lawful and authorized. Follow consent, notice, signage, retention, customer-policy, and secure-storage requirements.
  • Proxmark Card Lab: Read, analyze, encode, emulate, duplicate, or export credential data only for customer-approved testing, support, documentation, or administration.
  • WCS Video Evidence Processor: Preserve source media, work from verified copies, document derivative outputs, and follow the organization’s evidence-handling, disclosure, and retention procedures.

Trials, licenses, and subscriptions

WCS desktop software is commercial software unless a product page expressly says otherwise. Desktop trials may transition to a signed WCS license. SNIB Scout for Android uses account-based trial and subscription entitlements, with Google Play Billing for Play-distributed installs and the WCS Store with Stripe for the direct channel.

A trial or subscription does not transfer ownership of the software or grant redistribution, resale, or unauthorized-use rights. Product-specific license terms may also apply inside the application or installer.

Downloads and updates

Use current installers and packages obtained through WCS-controlled download or update channels. Verify the publisher, file name, version, and published SHA-256 value when available. Keep appropriate backups before installing updates or changing production systems.
