1.1.29 Release Notes

  1. Published the 1.1.29 WCS release MSI signed by James Brown.
  2. Added multi-mask privacy redaction export with timed solid black masks and soft-blur privacy masks for faces, license plates, screens, addresses, juveniles, and other sensitive areas.
  3. Added annotated review export with multiple timed text labels for subjects, vehicles, objects, locations, officers, and custom identifiers.
  4. Added one-click investigative enhancement presets for low-light video, washed-out cameras, license plate attempts, shaky video, and interlaced DVR exports.
  5. Added set-start and set-end buttons that pull clip export times from the current playhead position.
  6. Processing settings, audit entries, and help content now distinguish enhancement, redaction, annotation, watermark, and audio cleanup details for derivative outputs.
  7. Public update metadata keeps first-time trial requests on the WCS request flow while licensed installs can download the signed 1.1.29 MSI through the logged update URL.
  8. Future app update checks continue to use the permanent WCS release manifest at /downloads/video-evidence-processor/version.json.
  9. Public page, manifest, and release metadata continue to avoid raw installer handler URLs.
  10. Bundled FFmpeg, FFprobe, and VLC fallback playback support remain included; unused ffplay.exe remains excluded.

For security and licensing review, WCS logs download attempts, including the server-observed IP address, request time, referrer, and browser/device details that the browser provides. Public websites cannot read your Windows computer name unless software on the computer sends it.
