How do I cancel an alarm dispatch?

If you've accidentally triggered your alarm system, you can easily cancel the dispatch.  First, if you triggered the alarm, but immediately disarmed the alarm, you may not need to cancel.  If we see the cancel (disarming) within the same transmission as the alarm, we will not dispatch.   However, if you are delayed in disarming, then the dispatch will occur.  And in order to cancel it, you will have to call our central station at 1-888-219-3726.  You will need to provide them with your name, account number, pass code (secret code or word to identify yourself to them), and of course tell them what happened so they can make a note of it.

I already have an alarm system and monitoring, do I have to replace my equipment if I use your services?

Probably not.  Most companies use "non proprietary equipment", meaning that any alarm or security company can monitor and service their equipment.  However, there are some companies that routinely install proprietary equipment and only they can service and monitor your system.  Yet some other companies will install non proprietary equipment, but then they'll install a lock code on the programming so that again, you can not cancel your service with them.

It's to your benefit when purchasing an alarm system to insist on non proprietary equipment and no lockout codes.

The best way to know the answer to this question is to get a copy of your contract and the brand and models of your system and call us (1-800-421-2585).  We're happy to help, and if we can't use the existing equipment, we'll let you know.

What's the difference between an Intrusion Alarm and a Burglar Alarm System?

There really isn't much difference, other than who typically uses the terminology.  Residential and low end alarm companies often refer to burglar alarms as "burg" "burglar" or "burglar alarm", where as the systems integrators that specialize in higher end systems, integrated systems and custom systems refer to them as "intrusion alarm systems" or "intrusion detection", but they are both the same.  You may find that the intrusion alarm is a higher end version of the same brand being presented to you as a burglar alarm.

Do you offer product demonstrations?

Yes, Absolutely.  We have a state of the art demo center at our corporate office located at 911 Bern Court, San Jose, Ca. and of course we can also have one of our account managers visit your location and provide you a demonstration at your facility.  We of course have more equipment and a much better prepared demonstration in our center than what an account manager can carry with them and setup on a table at your facility.

Do you offer GSA pricing for the federal government?

Yes, many of our products are listed on GSA schedules.

Do you offer custom programming services?

Yes, but because it is custom, it's difficult to tell you more about the pricing and what's involved until we discuss your needs with you and detail what's required.  Some of our past and current projects involve custom interfaces for existing systems, or integration between the access control system and visitor management/lighting control/hvac control/payroll databases and more.  We're recently put together customer escape reporting and prisoner reporting capabilities to an access control system for several State Prisons.
